I work at the Genome Analysis Centre (@GenomeAnalysis) in Norwich, UK, on sequencing informatics research, notably primary analysis, data management, heterogeneous dataset fun, ontologies and metadata, and infrastructure for open data.

I’m a staunch open source and open science advocate. Openness is good, paywalling science and constraint of scientists by publishers is bad. M’kay?

I also like heavy metal, dogs, curry, beer, cigars, rubbish horror films and travelling.
